War on 'Terror'? Not Really...

It's good that most of the world finally knows we are not actually in a war against terrorism, but a war against murderous islamofascism. I wish the West could just come out and say it, but with the world being pc to the point of it being dangerous, it's just not going to happen.

I can't remember where I read this comment (maybe Neal Boortz?), but it's pretty funny.

Declaring war on a tactic is silly. Imagine if, on December 7, 1941, after the Japanese pulled off a brilliant sneak attack on Pearl Harbor, FDR got on the radio and declared war on 'sneak attackers'!
I doubt messages like this would be as inspiring:

Update: In other news, Steel has some good comics. Here's the best:

Quantum Mechanics Utilized by the Military

God bless 'em. Our military guys and gals have figured out a way to lower the risk to pilots by 50%. There's some complicated surgery involved and quantum tunnelling is required, but they found that one man can control two of the new G-14 series jets (G is one better than F).

Heh, just kidding. This is actually a photoshop contest over at Cowboy Blob's site. I'm not intentionally being a shill for his site, but he's got some very funny images at the moment.

Racist Humor

Some comedian on Comedy Central said (paraphrased):

The solution to all of this racism is simple. Dialogue. We need to get to a point where we can talk to each other and understand where we're coming from. For instance, I might say, "Hey, white man. Why are you so uptight and afraid?" And he might say, "Hey, black man. How did you get into my apartment?"

Oh the Times, They Aren't a Changing

Recently discovered documents prove that Democrats have been on the wrong side of the issues for over a hundred years. This DNC advertisement appeared in an 1850's publication of "Biotechnology Today":

At least they were honest about being racist back then. Stolen from Cowboy Blob. Don't tell him.

Everybody Has an Ancient Axe to Grind

People in the western world marvel at the ridiculous hatred between the Sunni and Shia. This bitterness has gone on for over a thousand years, and violence between the two muslim sects has been continuous, only varying in degree. Its parallel in the West would be a thousand year feud between Baptists and Presbyterians, which is a ludicrous idea in our civilized world.

But are we truly so much more enlightened? True, we don't kill over religion anymore, but we still have millenia old arguments that remain unresolved to this day. I was reading a book, "The True Story of the Battle of Hastings". It explained that the entire battle was started over a disagreement as to which aspect of lite beer was the most important. Obviously, it got out of hand*:

Sadly, the answer to this age old question has yet to be resolved, and is a powder keg waiting to set off destruction on a massive scale. Can't we agree that it taste's great AND is less filling?

* - Dramatic license taken with the picture, since I'm not old enough to have been at the battle of Hastings. Some of it is guesswork.

The State of the Union

It's in a bit of trouble. But we can't blame the stooges. The people voted them in. Man, I hate people.

House Democrats Use Military Blood For Votes

A new low. The Democrats are pursuing a 'slow bleed' strategy to limit the President's ability to fight the war in Iraq. Nevermind that it gives hope to the enemy. Nevermind that it will weaken our forces over there. These things are quite unimportant compared to this fact: It might get them votes!

Even Six Meat Buffet's lesbian hippie chick is bothered by this disgusting display of politicking.
